job involves
- Overseeing
the welfare and management of takahe, brown teal ducks, hihi,
saddleback
- Feeding
and keeping counts of the populations
- During
the breeding season nest checking and the banding of juveniles
- Kokako
monitoring in the winter season

Arranging the participation of volunteers to work on the Island
- Doing
all bookings for visitors to the Island including schools and
ferry operators also arranging all guiding tours for public and
schools
- Responsibility
for the bookings and maintenance of the bunkhouse and all public
toilets
- Running
the shop for Supporter of Tiritiri Matangi
- Liaising
with Research students
- Keeping
records of visitors to the Island.

for many years with children in hospitals
- had
a private practice as an orthoptist
- been
a kindergarten teacher

I liaise with
the ferry so we know how many visitors will arrive each day
During the breeding
season I check on the nesting boxes around the island
