Back	Seismograph

A seismograph is a scientific instrument that detects the shaking caused by earthquakes, and records it for scientists to look at. When the earth shakes, the pen moves up and down and makes the wide marks shown above. This shows a lot of small earthquakes building up before a large volcanic eruption.
