Tourmaline probably comes in more
shades of more colours than any other gemstone. It can be
green, black, red, purple, blue, white, brown, and even one
that changes colour. Tourmaline comes from Sri Lanka,
Brazil, Maine and California in the USA, Madagascar,
Tanzania, Kenya, Rhodesia, Russia, China and
Afghanistan. It is medium hard, and quite a tough
stone.
