Moonstones are very soft pale
coloured stones, and their colour ranges from cream to
peach. They are usually cut in a rounded cabochon
cut, which is rounded on top, and flat on the back.
People believe that if you feel
upset, wearing a moonstone will make you feel
better. They aren't brilliant stones. Instead
they cast a light which is soft and translucent.
