It used to be that you were checked to see if you were carrying a gun on to a plane. But now, many different items are considered to be a potential weapon (that means they could be used as a weapon).

You are not allowed anything sharp, like a penknife, or scissors, or knitting needle, or nail file.

All of these items on the right have been confiscated (taken off) passengers. You don't get them back, either!
