Why we use trucks

Farmers use small trucks on farms to carry around equipment or bales of hay, like with this small truck.

These trucks have an open back, or tray.

Other trucks have long trailers that carry equipment such as these pipes for long distances.

In New Zealand we often see logging trucks carrying big loads of logs from the forests to the mills.

Trucks are often the most sensible way to carry food supplies into small towns or villages.

These men are unloading food supplies being sent into a country which is at war.
