When the bike was first invented, there were no engines. But when it was possible to make small engines, people thought it would be a good idea to put them in a bike, and make a motor bike! You wouldn't need to pedal to make it go! This small bike was made in the 1950's (but they also made big ones). |

A modern motorbike can be quite expensive, and you see quite a lot of them on our roads. If you ride a motorbike, you have to wear a helmet to protect your head in case of an accident. It is more dangerous to have an accident on a motorbike than in a car, because you have little protection. |
