....what was a knight?

A knight was a special sort of soldier in medieval days. He was usually quite rich, and owned some land.

He would fight for his king, and help him to rule the country and keep it safe.

Knights wore heavy metal armour, to protect themselves from swords and arrows. They rode specially trained war horses.
