Dennis Connor has won the America's Cup four times - in 1974, 1980, 1987 and 1988. He has one of the most experienced crews in the cup. The team had a big problem in July, when their second boat lost its rudder and sand to the bottom of the Pacific. It was salvaged, and the team carried on. He has worked incredibly hard for the America's Cup over the years, and was very disappointed to be knocked out of the competition in the Louis Vuitton Cup.
