Books

Forgotten Fauna. By Mike Meads. Published by the DSIR. Mike Meads is a scientist who has devoted himself to the weta. Look for his books in your school or local library.

Giant Weta. By Jenny Jones. Published by Heinemann Education. A good book for all ages, with good pictures and diagrams.

New Zealand Weta. By George Gibbs. Published by Reed. An excellent guide, complete with location maps, descriptions and photos. (See some of George Gibbs' photos in the Weta pages.)
