Our questions to the team

Ritik, Scott, Gabrielle, Kurt, Jared, Sasha and Tamatoa looked at this site and read what the team said on their internet site. Then they emailed these questions to the team in Tanzania.

Then they had to read all the information printed out from the web site, and highlight the important bits. After that, they wrote it up in their own words for Miss Currie to put on this intranet site so everyone could read it.

They had to work hard, and look up words they didn't understand in the dictionaries and encyclopedias in the library.

What do you do in your free time?

We thought that the fossils probably belong to Tanzania and the people in the village. Will you be taking them all back to America, or leaving some behind in Tanzania?

How will the villagers earn money when the expedition leaves?

When you pick up a rock, how do you know if it is the right kind of rock to have a fossil in it?

We looked at the picture of the headman of the village. What is the fly whisk he is holding made of? Why is it important to his job?

We would like to know what tools you use. Could you take a photo and tell us what you use them for?

When you have finished looking at the fossils in America, what will happen to them? Could we borrow one?

We also asked a question about how satellite phones work - you can see that question and answer if you click here.
