Five Things to do with Junk Mail
One thing about mail is how much Junk Mail there
is. Coupons. Advertisements. Letters asking your
parents to buy plate collections with names like
"Famous Fish of the Civil War." So what can you do
with all this wasted paper?
1.
Recycle it!
You can't make another tree, but if your town has a
recycling collection, at least it can be made into
more paper. That's where a lot of the brown bags at
grocery stores come from. And egg cartons. And more
junk mail.
2. Paint it!
Here's a free (and endless) supply of paper for art
projects.
3.
Tear it up
A lot of pets use shredded paper to line their
cages. I think you know why. (They don't read it,
or apply for credit cards, that's for sure.)
4.
Wear it!
Taping envelopes together could be the answer to
all your clothes-washing worries. You could make a
paper jacket. Don't go out if it's going to rain.
You might come home wearing something that looks
like lumpy oatmeal.
5.
Send it back!
Cross out your address, put theirs and mail it
back. See how they like it. Famous Fish indeed.
Now, if it was a Bionic Bunny plate
collection...
