Konnichiwa Room 5. Eddie desu.
Gommenasai. I am sorry it has been so long in
writing to you but Mrs Luke has been really busy and it
takes too long to type by myself especially since I have no
fingers. The students here at school are
having parent interviews and are also preparing for exams.
Mrs Luke has to help them to prepare and also has to write
a first year exam, so she has been busy. There have also been typhoons so
school has been cancelled and changed around and all kinds
of crazy things. So I have been staying home a lot as
it is scary to be out in a typhoon when you are as small as
me. Tonight I am going to a place called
Nakamura for an English Camp. Mr and Mrs Luke are going as
camp teachers and they will work with students who are on
an international course. The students are only allowed to
speak English at the camp or else they get put in camp
jail. Mr Luke is the Chief Police Officer so they had
better watch out. Each camp teacher has a team and I
am in the Buzzy Bee team, named after me. We wear only
yellow and black. Mrs Luke is my leader. We have five
students in our team and I am the mascot. We also have a tambourine to play
our team song. We will be playing lots of English games
including some you already do in New Zealand. On Friday we will have warm up
games, like scavenger hunt and making a tv commercial. On
Friday night we will have a camp fire, unless the typhoon
comes along, and we will sing songs. That will be really
cool. On Saturday we have aerobics in the
morning with Mrs Luke, and then we play in an English
Village, perform our commercials in front of the others and
then leave the camp. I can't wait.
On Saturday night we come home on the train and then on Sunday we will have a rest. Mrs Luke said she will take lots of photos and maybe I will be back in NZ soon. So, Room 5, I hope you are studying hard and reading all my letters. I would love to hear some letters from you. The Japanese students here would love to read some too. |
