Don't always take your photos from standing. You could also take them from other points of view:

Do you ever look down at your feet, and see what is there? Maybe it is quite special and unusual, like this red sand in the desert around Wadi Rum.
This photo is interesting because it is taken from a very low angle, looking upwards. It makes the steps look very high and steep, and is a kind of "dog's eye" view of the world.
4. Looking along from a low angle
This photo was taken from low down, and it gives a different view of the sea by seeing more of the railing and ropes and safety equipment. Otherwise it would be a fairly boring photo of the sea and an island in the distance.
