Germany 2

In general I'm not very fond of high speed trains. Just like current cars they look all the same to me. I like local trains much more, such as for instance Rheinlandt Express Venlo-Cologne. Then my mum and me have the possibility to make a break halfway to have a sandwich or drink something. Always looking for a nice photo spot or an old characteristic little station anywhere in western Europe.

This is 'Loedmilla' a freighttrain locomotive going from the steel factories in The Netherlands to Germany. I saw him recently in Emmerich (G). It's an old GDR loco (German Democratic Republic). A very special one to see. (Photo: Remco)

This freight train just changed locomotives and is now from Wasserbillig (Luxemburg) bound for Trier (Germany) with loco 216 143-8 on head of the train.
