the legends area the most interesting. Ever wonder how the kangaroo got

Bear Den -Finally, a site for bears on the Internet! From the "roaring"
bear welcome to the "Cub Den" (for kids), this site has everything
you want to know about bears. A
Girl's World -A great site just for girls. The site includes activities,
"meet incredible women," and even secret diaries. Kid'n
Around -A well put together site with plenty of activities for kids
(and parents). Kid'n Around includes sections on sports, science, books,
and more. World
Surfari -Each month World Surfari takes you to a different country.
This site has colorful images and lots of information on the country they
are focusing on. There is even a message board just for kids. Tales
of Wonder -A collection of folk and fairy tales from all over the
world. The stories are presented in big letters for little eyes. NPR
Science Friday Kids Connection -Information about the popular NPR
radio show designed just for kids. There are activities, home experiments

Annie's Craft Page -A cool place for kids. A different project posted
every week. Past projects are archived. Kids
and Educational Shockwave Epicenter -A listing of sites and resources
that use Shockwave. These sites require Netscape 2.0 and the Shockwave

-Looking for educational software? PEP is an informational resource for
parents, educators, and children's software publishers. International
Kids' Space -A fun-filled page just for kids. The site includes: storybooks,
artwork, a listing of kids' homepages, and a lot more. KidNews
-KidNews is a free news and writing service for students and teachers

Literature Home Page -This cool site helps parents find the best children's
books available. There are lots of book reviews and other helpful information. Wangaratta
Primary School -While making this link we realized that this was the
first primary school we've ever directly connected to! It's a great site
with fun activities for kids. The kookaburra sound and story are great.
The school is located in Wangaratta, Australia. The
Yuckiest Site on the Internet -This site calls itself "the grossest
family site on the Net." With areas like Cockroach World, it's easy
to agree. This site is well presented and a lot of fun. Pocahontas
for American Indian Students -An examination of Disney's animated
film "Pocahontas," with some interesting perspectives on the
movie. Included on the page is an area where you can express your own

Homepage -A World Wide Web digital library for schoolkids. Learn about
art, astronomy, chemistry, geography, and physics. Explores!
World Headquarters -Not just a site for teachers or students, this
site has a great deal of information about weather. If you are a teacher
or student check out the excellent K-12 section. KIDLINK:
Global Networking for Youth 10-15 -A great site aimed at getting children
ages 10-15 involved in a global dialog. Kids from 72 countries have participated.
Electronic
Zoo -An amazing list of animal-related computer resources. Check and
see if your favorite animals have been digitized! Rainforest
Action Network Home Page -Loads of information on the rainforest and
what we can do to save it. Includes a section just for kids.
