Valley: A Guide - Originally printed in 1939, the online version of
the guide has sections on the geology, climate, flora and fauna, as well
as information about the history and human inhabitants (past and present)
of Death Valley. Glacier
-It's the middle of winter so we looked for a cold site. You can't get
much colder than the Antartic. This site teaches about the ice-covered
continent and the geologic forces that are behind its formation. The
Mineral Gallery -This cool site allows you to find minerals by name,
class, or by "interesting groupings." From acanthite to zoisite,
there are pictures and information on the chemistry of minerals. World
Data Center for Marine Geology & Geophysics -The WDC "promotes
excellence in archiving, managing, and exchanging data obtained from measurements
of the seafloor." The site contains some outstanding images of the
ocean floor. You can even view some of the images with 3-D glasses. An
